HAZCO Environmental Services is pleased to announce the commissioning of the soil remediation pad located at Cell 7 at the Shepard Landfill in Calgary, Alberta at:

Commencing on June 1st, 2010, HAZCO’s soil treatment pad will be accepting non-hazardous, non-oilfield hydrocarbon contaminated soils from sites within the Calgary city limits and from surrounding municipalities.

Upon acceptance, soils will be treated in our clay lined 1.75 hectare treatment cell. Materials entering our facility will be tracked from acceptance at the scale house through the treatment phase to final disposal at the landfill tipping face using our waste tracking database.

Using this database, we have the ability to provide our clients with weekly summaries of the materials received at the pad and inform them when their soils have been remediated and moved to the landfill tipping face for use as alternate daily cover.
